PS 92M Community Welcome Event

Yesterday we welcomed neighbors, families, and students into the beautiful PS 92M schoolyard for a day of community connection and outdoor fun. The newly renovated space created with input from students and designed to reflect the needs of the community, came alive with laughter, conversation, and exploration.

It was wonderful to see families enjoying the open space, kids getting creative with nature-themed activities, and neighbors gathering under the sun to learn more about how to stay involved in the care of this special place. The heat didn’t stop us! With temperatures in the 90s we cooled down by running through the sprinkler and taking shade under the green roof gazebo. While the kids got to learn about the trees in their new yard and look at bugs up close, the focus was really on celebrating the schoolyard itself as a shared community resource.

As a reminder, the schoolyard is open to the public every day until 8 PM. It’s your space to play, relax, and connect with nature right in the heart of the neighborhood.

A big thank you to everyone who came out. We are so grateful to be building something green and meaningful together.
